The Oxford dictionary defines the verb flourish “(of a person, animal or other living organism) to grow or develop in a vigorous way, especially as a result of a particularly favorable environment”. According to (May 2018) Courtney Ackerman, a positive psychology researcher and author, who’s researches flourishing concepts, people who flourish can direct or redirect their attention. They tend to avoid activities that don’t bring joy. They move closer to their goals and are constantly finding ways to improve, develop and grow. They find out what they need to know, and do, and acquire knowledge and skills to get them to where they want to go. They have a commitment to positive experiences.
